Re-Registration is now open and will close on August 31st!

Groups must re-register to participate in the Bazaar of Student Organizations on September 1st. If your organization does not re-register by the August 31st deadline, it will lose the privileges and resources of being a registered student group and will need to wait until next fall to re-register.

The application for re-registration opened on Sunday, July 21 and will close August 31st. All student organizations must complete the re-registration process to remain active for the upcoming academic year. This essential step ensures your organization continues to receive support, access to resources, and recognition from the university. 

NOTE: 

  • Each group must upload an estimated budget for their activities in the re-registration form. Please be sure you have gathered this information before you begin the process. 
  • All groups will be marked as “unregistered” in Yale Connect on July 20th and will not regain full access to their Yale Connect pages until re-registration is submitted. 
  • Only groups who are fully approved will be eligible to apply for university funding. 
  • If your group did not complete the End-of-the-Year Survey, your group’s re-registration will not be approved. To confirm your group has submitted the survey, click here. 
  • If your organization does not re-register by the August 31 deadline, you will need to wait until next fall to re-register. 

Follow these simple steps to complete your re-registration: 

  • Log into Yale Connect and go to your group’s page. 
  • Click the blue-registration button at the top of the page. 
  • Complete the re-registration form and submit. 
  • The submitter will receive a confirmation email from Yale Connect. Save for your records. Once submitted, your group’s re-registration form will be reflected as “Pending Approval” as we work through submissions. It may take 5-7 business days. 
  • If you begin the re-registration form but do not submit it in the same session, your group’s status will change to “Pending Approval.” However, it will only be a draft until you officially submit – please make sure to hit submit! The draft will be found in “My Surveys/Forms” (on the left toolbar) in the Yale Connect account of the student who began completing the form. 

Note: Club Sports groups are registered with Athletics, not Student Orgs. Please email leigh.fitzpatrick@yale.edu for any inquiries. 

Registration with the Yale College Dean’s Office allows undergraduate organizations to:  

  • Use classrooms and certain other University facilities or properties for programs, rehearsals, performances, and meetings, including conferences or other campus events (subject to availability and, sometimes, fees) 
  • Request funding from various on campus funding agencies (including the Undergraduate Organizations Funding Committee) 
  • Participate in the Bazaar of Student Activities at First-Year Orientation 
  • Petition for permission to use the Yale name 
  • Purchase some goods and services from the University 
  • Accept gifts from alumni and other donors for the current use of the undergraduate organization, when the solicitation for that donation was approved in the manner described in section H of the Undergraduate Regulations 
  • Request the use of theater and rehearsal spaces 
  • Be covered by Yale’s liability insurance and automobile insurance when traveling on official group business 
  • Provide proof of insurance coverage for organizations meeting or performing beyond the Yale campus 
  • Receive contract review from the Procurement office and guidance from the Risk Management office 
  • Apply for a Yale Email Address
