Peer Support

Student Organization Consultants (SOCs) are sophomores, juniors and seniors trained to help registered student organizations navigate Yale processes. Your group’s consultant is your first point of contact. They can help if you have questions about how to put together an event, who to contact with a request, or need an unbiased sound board to talk through ideas you might have for your group.

Each SOC is assigned a caseload of student groups, organized by group type, that they assist over the academic year. In addition to serving as the main contact for their student organizations, consultants will also work on projects defined by the Assistant Director of Student Affairs, with the goal of creating a robust support system for student organizations.
